LOCATION Newport Lakes Primary School, Corner of Ross & Elizabeth Streets, Newport, Victoria, Australia, 3015. Only 15 minutes from the CBD, just off the Princes Highway. MAP PROGRAM Band practices
concentrate on the fundamentals of correct technique, musical
expression, tuning and unison of playing. As much as
possible, the band
practices on pipes and drums rather than practice chanters and pads.
During the first half, learners take part where possible as the band practices the more basic tunes in its repertoire. The second half concentrates on more advanced pieces such as competition tunes.
